| It's all over! Hard to believe... Graduation was yesterday and I am officially done with school. It's actually a bit of a let down. I've been looking forward to it for so long. Next step is moving to Lewisville, getting my new apartment fixed up, and finding a church. | | |
| Everything turned out OK. My prof gave me some time to work on it some more, but after seeing some of the other papers that were turned in, I think I'm closer to being done with mine than I thought. Either way it will be over soon. Well, my time in xangaland may be running short. I'm losing access to the school computers very soon, and I'll be moving June 2 to Lewisville. I'm not planning on getting internet till then, and even at that point I'm not sure what my old computer will handle. I may get an e-machine or something, but it's not high on my list. That being said, it may be awhile till yall see me again. I hope to see some of you in person soon. When I get settled in I'll have to throw a nice little shin dig. Later... | | |
| AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! How quickly things change... I am taking but a five minute break from my project. To make a long story short, sometime, somewhere between the computer lab last night at nine to this morning in my living room at nine, I lost my zip drive with all my data on it. (which I did not back up. Yes I'm an idiot.) This means I start from scratch. 15+ hours of work down the drain. The project consists of a 15ish page paper and a presentation complete with powerpoint and handouts. There is no way I could hope to finish a 15 page paper by then, even if I didn't even sleep tonight. I'm not even going to try. So, I'm finding and running the data & building a presentation today. I'll tell my professor I'll get him the paper ASAP. The worst thing about it is I had an insightful presentation and I hoped to polish everything up today. Now I've worked all day to almost get where I was, and I'm afraid it will be C quality. So much for the 4.0. Oh well, it will all be over soon. Sorry I'm ranting. I'm just really mad. | | |
| Aahhhh.... a momentary respite from the suckiness that is my final research project... EVER!!!!! I have spent eight hours today crunching numbers, and I'll probably spend fifteen in here tomorrow. At least there is the solace that after I give my presentation Monday morning I will be finally freed from the cold shackles of academia. I won't know what to do with myself! Oh, I'm sure I'll think of something. | | |
| I just signed a lease. I'm moving into the Ballantyne apartments off Denton Tap Rd. near Highway 121. It's a nice little one bed room. Small, but bigger than what I have now. No fireplace, but I really like the floorplan. I don't care to describe it, but anyone who wants can come to see it. Moving party June 2! It's about ten minutes from work. I won't even have to get on the interstate. It seems everyone is in favor of Ninja Turtles. However, I think I'm going to do vintage baseball. Kind of like the modern, the bistro-ish black and white pictures of Paris and all, only more masculine. I can't wait to move. I suppose that's all for now. Cowabunga. | | |
